The Agrievolution Alliance – A Global Network important for surviving turmoil
As we have found, we truly are living in a global society. Although we all knew this, it certainly has been magnified as we have dealt with Covid, supply chain issues, war, and resulting economic slowdowns - in many cases nearing economic recessions in many parts of the world.
Now more than ever it is important for people and organizations to work together through all these hurdles that are in front of us. I am pleased to report that many of the members of the Agrievolution alliance do find ways to communicate and develop joint actions on issues facing the industry. These actions are more than just providing reports and important data about the industry. Th

SILOBAG SYSTEM 2
Grain Bagging: An Argentinian Development for the World
The silobag is considered a temporary and hermetic storage system, suitable for the storage of all types of grains, seeds, fodder and solid fertilizers. “Temporary” refers to the fact that the silobag cannot be reused, and not to the period in which the product can be safely stored. For its part, the hermetic condition is only achieved if the bag does not have perforations and its ends are correctly closed. The main elements involved in this technology are the silobag, the bagging machine, the extraction machine and the self-unloading hopper. .

French Farm Machinery Market : 1st semester 2022 dashboard
In April 2022, shortages of parts and components continued to weigh on activity in the agricultural equipment sector: the turnover of agricultural equipment distributors remained almost stable compared to April 2021 (0.2%), after 3 .1% the previous month.
Manufacturing activity also slowed (+1.0% after +2.4% in March).
Bottlenecks continue to undermine factory production lines and distribution network. Over the first four months of 2022, the turnover generated by the entire sector, distributors and manufacturers combined, still remains above the levels of 2021 (by +5.5% compared to the same period of 2021) and 2019 (+13.9% versus the first four months of 2019).
Agriculture and agro-mechanics: the Italian landscape
In Italy, data from the latest census conducted by the national statistics institute, Istat, on the state of agriculture in the country was recently released. There were 1.133 mln active farms in October 2020 with a UAA (utilised agricultural area) of 12.5 thousand hectares and a AA (total agricultural area) of 16.5 thousand hectares. The number of farms is down by 52.7% and 30%, respectively, compared to the 2000 and 2010 censuses.

The Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8)
TICAD stands for Tokyo International Conference on African Development. The Government of Japan has been leading this conference since 1993, co-hosted by United Nations, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank and African Union Commission (AUC).
In July 2020, the Government of Japan announced that TICAD8 to be held in 2022 would be hosted by the Republic of Tunisia. TICAD will take place in Africa for the second time after Kenya hosted one in 2016. In light of the outcomes of TICAD7 held in Yokohama in August 2019, Japan will continue to strongly support African-led development toward TICAD8. (Source : Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan)

Tractor Market Outlook: Turkish Tractor Sales Remain Strong in August!
The figures from the Traffic Registration Bureau show that 4.740 tractors were registered in August 2022. The total farm tractor sales rose by 53.2 percent compared to the previous year and 53.1 percent compared to the average of the last 5 years.

Major changes in UK agriculture over Queen's reign
The death of Queen Elizabeth II provided a good opportunity to reflect on how things changed during her reign. As such, I thought it might be interesting to look at how farming in the UK has changed since 1952. As luck would have it, the dusty shelves in my office housed a report on Agricultural Statistics for 1952-53, covering England and Wales. Together with some long time series published by the government, this gives us the chance to look at how farming has changed over the last 70 years.
In 1952, there were 380,031 agricultural holdings in England and Wales, of which 137,312 had an area of over 50 acres (roughly 20 hectares). By 2021, those numbers had reduced to 142,287
Net farm income, a broad measure of profits, is forecast at $147.7 billion in calendar year 2022, an increase of $7.3 billion (5.2%) from 2021. When adjusted for inflation, net farm income in 2021 was at its highest level since 2013 and 42.1% above its 20-year average (2002–21) of $104.0 billion in inflation-adjusted dollars. Total crop receipts are forecast to increase by $36.4 billion (15.3%) from 2021 levels to $274.2 billion. Total animal/animal product receipts are expected to increase by $55.3 billion (28.3%) to $251.1 billion, following increases in receipts for all commodity categories.<
