A Message from Agrievolution Secretary General – The World Continues to Change
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to review this issue of the Agrievolution Newsletter. It goes without saying that much has changed in the world since we published the inaugural Agrievolution newsletter earlier this year.
Agrievolution is not a political organization but an organization with a mission to promote the benefits of mechanization in global sustainable agriculture. However, we cannot ignore the recent events in Ukraine. It has touched the lives of many all over the world and we send our sincere sympathies to those directly impacted. We hope for a resolution soon.
As mentioned in the previous newsletter Agrievoluti
Theft of tractors and other agricultural machinery is a problem for everyone involved, from the owner, who may be left without equipment when they need it, to the insurance company which has to pay for a replacement. It is not good for machinery manufacturers either, as a reputation for being easy to steal is sure to affect demand for a vehicle or machine.
That’s why the AEA has been working on ways of reducing machinery theft for a long time. For over 10 years, we have been co-sponsoring the industry’s CESAR security marking and registration scheme with our colleagues in the Construction Equipment Association (CEA). CESAR combines a sophisticated security marking syst
Net farm income, a broad measure of profits, is forecast to have increased by $23.9 billion (25.1 percent) in 2021 from 2020 and is forecast to decrease by $5.4 billion (4.5 percent) in 2022 relative to 2021. Forecast at $113.7 billion in 2022, net farm income would be 15.2 percent above its 2001–20 average of $98.7 billion when prior years are adjusted for inflation. Average net cash farm income for farm businesses is forecast to remain relatively unchanged from 2021 at $91,500 per farm in 2022. However, the regional average net cash farm income outlook is mixed.
While 2022 cash receipts overall are expected to increase, lower direct Government payments and higher pro

Agri-investments in Spain in the last decade forecast a boom in demand for high value crops mechanization
The agri-food sector in Spain has closed 2021 with a new increase in the balance of foreign trade, which has been close to 19 billion euros, doubling the figure reached a decade ago. High-value crops –fruits, vegetables, olive oil and wine– are four of the seven components of the sector that register positive differentials, and still have great growth potential in the coming years thanks to the growing demand in high income countries. The OECD-FAO report on agricultural prospects 2021-2030 concludes that during this decade, increases in production should be based on yields, and that trade flows will be limited to markets close to the producing countries. Faced with this expect

THE RETURN TO LIVE EXHIBITIONS: FAIRS MOVE THE MARKET IN ARGENTINA
Covid-19 shook the world with a pandemic that forced all countries to take extreme measures to protect global health, with consequences that are still being experienced. In Argentina, and particularly in the agricultural field, March 13, 2020 is a date that will remain in the records of history. In San Nicolás, Buenos Aires province, the Expoagro, which is the open-air fair that traditionally opens the calendar of agricultural exhibitions every year, was being developed. As always, it means an area of launches, consultations and business that has taken more than a year of work by companies and producers. Three days after t
